Realt Dearg made a solid start with a few points and a well taken ground stroke goal from Stephen Roche. Barry Ruth scored a thumper of a pointed free from with his own half. The Stars started the second half in superb fashion. James Kenny collected a puck out, moved the ball on to Tom Kehoe who played a cross field ball into Stephen Roche who took the ball into contact. Drawing the defender he released a reverse hand pass to Stephen Casey who unleashed a shot from 20 meters to the far upper corner of the net. It was a thing of beauty. Casey claims it wasn’t his best goal but your humble narrator disagrees. Tom Kehoe scored the Stars last point and the lads survived a siege by the Wild Wild Geese for the last 10 minutes to hold out for a great 4 point win. Realt Dearg Abú.
